1. Platinum Broadcasting, Inc. consists of radio stations 1420 – KJCK (KJCK AM), Power Hits 97.5 (KJCK FM) and Q 103.5 (KQLA FM). Any reference to “Platinum Broadcasting” in these official rules pertains to one, two or all three of these radio stations.
2. Platinum Broadcasting, Inc., affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each, and principals and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the main studios of Platinum Broadcasting stations 1420 – KJCK, Power Hits 97.5 and Q 103.5 are not eligible to win any contest.
3. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void were prohibited.
4. Platinum Broadcasting reserves the right to disqualify any winner if any contest rules are violated in any way.
5. One play per household, per family, per week per contest. Once a contestant wins they are not elgible to play for 30 days. The term family shall include spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren and co-habituating significant others.
6. All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prizes awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600.00 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the Platinum Broadcasting studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.00. Prize value will be determined upon contest play and is the same amount that the contestant wins.
7. Anytime you call the studios of a Platinum Broadcasting radio station, you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
8. Platinum Broadcasting, Inc., their subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors and employees are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, malfunction, defect or delay of any kind in telephone calls, radio transmissions or on-line or Internet submissions or for the failure of a Platinum Broadcasting station to receive telephone calls for any reason or for any computer or software malfunction of any kind affecting the proper execution of this contest or for late, lost, illegible or damaged mail. By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge or hold harmless Platinum Broadcasting, their subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors and employees from any liability, claims, losses, damages and injuries arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from their participation in the contest and the acceptance and use of a prize.
9. As a winner of a contest from any Platinum Broadcasting radio station including 1420 – KJCK, Power Hits 97.5 and Q 103.5, your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes. All qualifiers agree to provide Platinum Broadcasting with their name, address, phone number and social security number. This will ONLY be used for processing necessary information as it pertains to prizes. Prize winners agree to waive any claim or royalty, right of further remuneration for any such promotional use and agree not to appear on, or on behalf of, any other radio or television station for a period of six (6) months after acceptance of prize.
10. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. Platinum Broadcasting reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
11. No purchase necessary to participate or win. Making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.
12. Prizes can be claimed at the Platinum Broadcasting radio stations offices at 1030 Southwind Drive, Junction City, Kansas between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Prizes not claimed within 30 days are forfeited and remain the sole property of Platinum Broadcasting.
13. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, or the like), Platinum Broadcasting delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as Platinum Broadcasting awarding the prize to the winner. Platinum Broadcasting shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. Platinum Broadcasting shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
14. As a licensee of the FCC and trustee of the public airwaves, Platinum Broadcasting reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest of promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of Platinum Broadcasting management if world events, the national mood or public safety so warrant.
15. Platinum Broadcasting assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. Platinum Broadcasting, advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each absolve themselves and shall be held harmless from any action or liability or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
16. Rules are subject to change without notice. Official contest rules are available at our studio and office location at 1030 Southwind Drive, Junction City, Kansas during regular business hours, on the website at www.kjck.com, www.powerhits975.com or www.kqla.com.
17. Platinum Broadcasting reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. The decision of Platinum Broadcasting management is final.
